Arahova is a mountainous village located on the west side of Mount Parnassus close to Delphi and is known as a winter destination. It is in Arahova where people visit the Ski Center of Parnassos, the most popular in Greece. It has beautiful surroundings for sightseeing. This impressive settlement distinguishes for its traditional character with stone houses, cobblestone alleys and beautiful squares. Tourism particularly develops in winter during Christmas where many facilities are available, hotels, spa, traditional restaurants, cafes, gifts shops and places for ski equipment. Places worth to visit are Agios Georgios Church, Korikion Cave, the Folklore Museum and the Ski Center. Nearby you can also visit the Archeological site of Delphi and the Byzantine Museum.
The local products of Arahova include feta cheese of Parnassos, honey, olives and olive oil, handmade pasta, wine and sausages.
The main villages of Arahova are Distomo, Eptalofos, Kalivia, Arahova Town.

How to get there

  Buses - From Athens to reach Arahova you have take the KTEL Bus with direction to Delphi or Amfissa from Liossion bus station. The bus goes through to stop you at Arahova.

 

  Trains - From Athens there is no direct train, you will have to stop in Livadia and from there to get to Arahova by Bus KTEL or taxi.  Livadia is about 33 km away from Arahova.
