Agios Stefanos Cave
It is located near Galissas Beach and can be accessed either on foot via the seaside path or by boat. According to the legend, a fisherman, Stefanos, built the chapel in the cave because, when he was attacked by a giant octopus, he was saved while praying to Agios Stefanos and made a vow to build a small church there. The small cave with the fresh running water and the legendary Catholic chapel compose a mysterious landscape. The ideal time to visit the chapel is on the 19th of August during the Feast of Agios Stefanos, where the locals will offer you a drink with mastic and delights.
