Skyros Monuments - The Rupert Brooke Grave in Skyros, Greece is located in a secluded area in the southwest of the island, nestled in Tris Boukes Bay. Previously accessible by boat from Linaria, the Greek Navy has since closed this route, leaving the grave only accessible by land. To get there, start in Chora and head south towards Linaria. Once there, take the left exit marked "Achili" which leads to Kalamitsa. After passing Kalamitsa, the road becomes unpaved and the island becomes largely uninhabited. Continue driving south and you will see signs indicating that you are entering a military zone. However, the zone only begins past Rupert Brooke's grave, which is located about 45 meters from the road, on the left-hand side amidst a field of olive trees. The grave was crafted by a Greek sculptor and features Brooke's most famous poem inscribed upon it. Don't miss this breathtaking site during your visit to Skyros, Greece.
