Kea also known as Tzia is one of the islands of Cyclades. It is not like other islands of the Cyclades for its whitewashed houses and authentic architecture but Kea is an island with forests and traditional farmhouses. It is close to Athens , a popular destination for Athenians,  it is only 2 hours away from Lavrio Port. The capital of Kea is Ioulida and the main harbor Korissia. The important sights to visit is the Archeological Museum, Ancient Karthea and the Royal Oak Forrest. There are several facilities in the main regions of the Ioulida and Korissia where you will find taverns, bars, shops and other things to do.
Local products of the island include thyme honey, mavroudi wine, spoon sweets and tsagalo, a dessert made with almonds.

How to get there

  Ferries - Kea is accessible by ferry from Lavrio Port in Athens. The journey lasts 2 hours. There are also ferry connections to Andros, Kythnos, Serifos, Sifnos.
