Iolida is the capital of Kea. The architecture of the island is different from the other islands of Cyclades. Red tiled roofed houses, not whitewashed houses but still carries the tradition of the island. Cars are prohibited in the village and one can travel by donkey. Castle of Hora is the old settlement in the village of 1000 year old buildings which are still preserved and residents still live in these buildings. You should visit the Panagia Kastriani Monastery as well as the Archeological Museum. For entertainment there are taverns and cafes located at the main square.
