Small Islets in Andros, Greece are a sight to behold. Among them are Peristera, Kyra Panagia, Yioura, Piperi, Psathoura, Papous, and Skantzoura. Peristera, the closest islet to Alonissos, boasts lovely sandy coves and the remains of an old castle. Kyra Panagia is the largest uninhabited islet and home to the post-Byzantine monastery of Kyra Panagia. Yioura, famous for the Cyclops Cave, is home to a rare species of wild goat and many rare plants. Psathoura, a volcanic islet, is covered in unique dark-colored rocks and is one of the most photographed islets in Alonnisos. Piperi, located north-east of Alonissos, is a refuge for seabirds and monk seals and is covered by lush green pine forest. These islets are truly a unique experience and a must-see for any traveler visiting Andros, Greece.
