Pylos Caves - At the southwest end of Voidokilia Bay, on the rock where Paliokastro was built, lies Nestora Cave in Pylos, Peloponnese. This legendary cave was once home to the royal cattle of Nestor, son of Neleus. According to myth, it also served as a hiding place for the 50 cattle stolen from Apollo by Hermes. Nestora Cave played a significant role in the early existence of life in the area, as evidenced by the discoveries made by Heinrich Schliemann dating back to Nestor's reign. Visitors to the cave will be awed by its impressive stalactites, adding to the area's natural beauty and historical significance.
