The Gorge of Agios Charalampos is a small, but beautiful gorge that lies south of the village of Ano Asites about 20 km from Heraklion. It takes its name from the chapel of Agios Charalampos located at the beginning. Starting from the chapel of Saint Charalampos, located within a huge window, go down along the River, where they created beautiful lakes. Looking up, it is observed towering walls with huge caves. At the exit has very narrow passage, which in winter is forces you to traverse on the side, along the path. Instead, in summer you can pass in the riverbed which wants a little attention.
