Zagora is a place famous in Greece not only for its natural beauties but for its tradition in arts and culture since the turkish occupation period. A proof of this is the church of Agia Kyriaki in Zagora, built in 1740. What is particularly interesting about this church is the fact that it is a triune one as it is dedicated to both Agia Ekaterini and Agios Ioannis Theologos. Earlier it was dedicated to the Dormition of the Virgin as it is reflected on the traditional construction of the wooden carved screen of the church.
