Agia Zoni Monastery in Samos, Greece
The Monastery is located in the verdant valley of Vlamari, two kilometers from Samos Town. Believed built in 1695 from very few monks, then later in the 18-19th century more monks were involved expanding the monastery building high walls to prevent pirate attacks. There is an interesting library with patriarchal documents and precious vessels. The Agia Zoni Monastery in Samos celebrates name day in honor of the saint on August 31.
