Pantokrator Monastery in Corfu, Greece
Corfu Churches - The Pantokrator Monastery in Corfu, Greece is a historic landmark situated on a mountain north of Corfu. Originally constructed in 1347, the monastery was unfortunately destroyed in 1537. However, a new church was erected on the same site in 1689, with a striking new facade added during the 19th century. Visitors to the Pantokrator Monastery are treated to breathtaking views of the entire island from its elevated position. This landmark is particularly noteworthy for being dedicated to the transfiguration of Christ.
