Agion Anargiron Monastery in Alonissos, Greece
This Monastery is on the north-west side of the island. It is of compact cruciform type with a dome, whose drum is relatively low. Externally the drum is coated with inscribed plant motifs. The roofs were covered with slate plates. The altar niche is semi-circular. The entrance is formed on the western wall and on it externally and internally a blind arch is formed. In the surrounding area of the Agion Anargiron church in Alonissos, there are relics of buildings (niche, walls etc.) which obviously belong to the monastery compound.
