Prassonissi Beach in Rhodes, Greece, is a long and wide expanse of sandy shoreline located 85 km south of Rhodes Town and 40 km southwest of Lindos village. This beach is a mecca for windsurfing enthusiasts, particularly during the months of July and August when the north winds, known as meltemi, are in full force. Visitors can witness expert windsurfers showing off their skills while enjoying the crowded beach. Prassonissi Beach is comprised of two sandy coves that both end in a rocky island, which can be accessed either on foot or by swimming, depending on the water levels. Although windsurfing equipment is available for rent, most surfers bring their own gear. Should you need a break from the water, there are taverns and rentable rooms located in close proximity to the beach. The landscape of Prassonisi Beach is idyllic, and the waters are incredibly clear and pristine.
