Chania Beaches - Nea Chora Beach in Chania, Crete is conveniently located just west of the Venetian walls, making it the closest beach to Chania Town. Access is easy via bus, car, or foot, and it's also situated near the city and shopping center. As a sandy beach with shallow waters, it's a great option for families with children. Nea Chora is also well-organized, offering accommodation facilities, sun beds, umbrellas, cafes, and fantastic taverns that offer mouth-watering fresh fish dishes. It's no wonder that Nea Chora is a favorite among both locals and tourists. Although, it's worth noting that the eastern side of the Venetian walls features another beach that's often affected by summer winds, making it less popular.
