Ancient Sight Paleohora in Kythira, Greece
The ancient sight of Paleohora is one of the most interesting located on the northeast side of Kythira. It is a large area built from the people of Monemvasia who came from Mystras in Peloponnese in the 12th century. It was however destroyed by the pirate Barbarossa in 1537 who stole all what the town had and sold the inhabitants as slaves. Today you can admire byzantine churches and monasteries and what other buildings still have remained.
