Mantinia sight is mainly known for the impressive remains of its settlement, as well as its market-place with the theater and the imposing buildings that is seated in the center of the ancient town. It is located in close distance and east of the modern church of Agia Fotini. During their times, Ancient Mantinia occupied a broad lowland area of East Arcadia in Peloponnese and was surrounded by mountains and hills that formed its natural boundaries from Orchomenos to the North and Tegea to the South.
