How To Get There

Only from Kymi, a small harbor on the eastern side of Evia island, do ferries leave for Skyros. The trips are brief—about an hour and a half—and the itineraries are frequent—roughly two to three times a day. The Skyros Shipping Company (SNE) operates the routes.
If you are coming from Athens, you will need to take a KTEL bus to Halkida, and then another bus to Kymi. Additional details regarding KTEL bus routes are available here.
Additionally, a ferry connects Skyros and Alonissos during peak season. If you arrive at Skyros airport, you may rent a car to your destination or take a local bus which make stops at Molos, Magazia, and Skyros Town (Chora).
