Kremasti
Kremasti in Rhodes is a bustling village located on the west coast of the island. With a variety of rooms, apartments, and package hotels, there are plenty of lodging options available. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful pebble beach, complete with sun loungers, parasols, and opportunities for watersports. Though the beach is steep, it's a great spot for adults to relax and soak up the sun.
One of the village's main attractions is its tree-lined square, which is dominated by a large church and shops. Kremasti is famous for its annual Panigiri, or Festival of the Virgin Mary, which takes place on August 15. Visitors can enjoy a lively street market, fiesta, and funfair during this time. Additionally, the Panhellenic Craft Fair is held from August 14-22.
Keep in mind that Kremasti is located very close to the airport, which can make for a noisy stay during the summer months. However, visitors looking for a quieter experience can head to the nearby inland village of Pastida. Here, amid the citrus and olive groves, you'll find small shops and tavernas for a relaxing day trip.
