Limnos is a part of the Eastern Aegean Islands and it lies between Lesvos and Thassos. It is more a rocky and mountainous island, has no forest, it is filled with vineyards and cereals. It has wonderful clean beaches where some of them are perfect for windsurfing. The capital of the island is Myrina. Myrina and Plati are more tourist little resorts, a great place for privacy and relaxation. There are many sights to visit on the island including the Ancient Kavirio, the Cave of Philoctetes, a legendary hero who was abandoned there on his way to Troy.
