How To Get There

The quickest option is to use a private transfer, taxi, or rental vehicle. By bus, you must purchase a ticket at the bus stop located just outside the airport. Take the KTEL bus service, which is also referred to as the blue bus. The bus leaves the bus stop every ten minutes. In order to catch a bus on time, you don't need to run to the bus stop. You may take the blue bus from the Heraklion airport terminal to the Heraklion KTEL Station A, which is close to the port, in 20 minutes.  From there the bus will take you to Lygaria.
