How To Get There

Bus: On Rovertou Galli Street, next to the Acropolis' main gate, the 230 service makes stops at the Acropolis Museum. Makrygianni (1, 5, 15, 040, 230, A2, and B2) and Chatzichristou (10, 550) stops are served by a number of bus and trolley routes, and the Acropolis is only a 5-minute walk away. A little further away, Syntagma Square is where the 227, 230, 790, 856, A2, and A3 buses, as well as the 1, 2, 4, 5, 11, and 15 trolleys, stop.

Metro: The M2 (red) line's Akropolis station is the nearest subway stop to the Acropolis. A 10-minute walk from Monastiraki station, visitors can alternatively take the M1 (green) and M3 (blue) lines to the Acropolis. It takes fifteen minutes to walk to the Thissio station on the M1 (green) line.

All bus, trolley, metro, and tram tickets cost €1.20 and are good for 90 minutes. Additionally, tickets for 24 days and 5 days are available for €4.10 and €8.20, respectively. Central bus and metro stations, as well as kiosks and corner stores, are the places to purchase and recharge ATH.ENA tickets and cards.

Car: It takes roughly forty-five minutes to drive from the Athens International Airport to the Acropolis via Attiki Odos. Cars must pay a €2.80 toll on the Attiki Odos highway.

Depending on traffic, it takes between 20 and 30 minutes from the Port of Piraeus. The most direct route is Pireos Avenue.
