Alonissos Town, also known as Chora or Liadromia, is an enchanting village that serves as the ancient capital of Alonissos, one of Greece's most beautiful islands. Steeped in history, it was once a medieval fortress and is still remarkably well-preserved, with two entrances that lead to a car-free labyrinth of narrow alleys lined with shops, cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. Despite the massive earthquake that devastated the town in 1965, several historic churches and monuments, including the "traditional home" museum, offer a glimpse into the island's rich cultural heritage.

Located just 2.5 kilometers from Patitiri, Alonissos Town offers breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea and the nearby islands of Skopelos and Evia. Accessible by car within ten minutes via the main road, this small traditional village is a popular summer destination, attracting visitors from around the world. Whether you're interested in exploring ancient ruins or simply soaking up the sun, Alonissos Town is the perfect place to experience the timeless beauty of Greece. So why not plan your visit today and discover the magic of this charming island village for yourself?
