Situated at an elevation of 375 metres, Kritsa, the location of the Argyro Rooms, is a stunning traditional village in the Lasithi area. It is around 10 kilometres to the west of the town of Agios Nikolaos. The traditional Cretan traditions and customs are still practiced in Kritsa. Numerous Byzantine churches in Kritsa include exquisite 14th and 15th century murals. Exit the Argyro Rooms and explore the well-known "Panagia Kera," which is surrounded by cypress trees and has a dome and steep sides that provide for a stunning spectacle.
