This church in Korinthos is dedicated to St. Paul, who conveyed the message of the Gospel in Korinthos, and wrote his famous letters to the citizens of Korinthos. During earthquakes in 1858 and 1928, the church was badly damaged, then reconstructed. It is a very impressive church of Byzantine architecture, with thick walls and its bell tower which the highest building in the city. The interior of the church was decorated with frescoes by D. Soukara, its marble icon screen, wooden Beautiful Gates and pontifical throne. At the entrance of the church you can read an excerpt about Love from Paul’s First Epistle to the Korinthians.
